YOU WRITE? What if the purpose of writing is not to write down pre-existent thoughts but instead it's an adventure of trust, where you allow your pen in hand to jot down what develops after a word is written, leading you to disclose ideas you never thought you had whilst helping you bring to life tales amazing and delightful? As Henri Nouwen wrote - "The writing itself reveals to us what is alive in us." I have written books, am still writing books and will continue to write (even if it's a blog) because I love the adventure it takes me. How about you? TOASTMASTERS REMEMBERED Once I was a Toastmaster. I learnt a lot and my public speaking skills as well my confidence got a shot in the arm. Loved the competitions and loved winning even more. Met so many interesting, exceptional people, many who went on to excel in the speaking and training industry. Time to organise trips (free?) for these non-Kuchingnites so that they can see, know and enjoy the sights and sounds of beautiful Kuching and beyond. Anybody got ideas or game to play host and tour guide? PORK BURGERS Several years ago I used to make pork patties, thick and juicy, and stick them in small buns (the ones that come six in a pack). Everyone loved them. I kept commenting, "Since no one is doing this, I should open a stall and sell pork burgers!" I never did. Others did. Now pork burger stalls are every where. Moral of story - act on an idea quickly or it is just fanciful dreaming. THANK GOD FOR OXYTOCIN According to researchers at Duke University, oxytocin or the “love hormone,” not only bonds lovers, and mother to child, but can increase religious feelings as  well .   Oxytocin appears to be part of the w
